Switching the first time power on the screen is only showing NO BOOT DEVICE FOUND restart the controller. What is the problem? I am a beginner of this controller. Kind regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from SINUMERIK 828D Basic Start Up Fault.

Which components/accessories you purchased along with controller? Please refer SINUMERIK 828D commissioning CNC chapter "1.4 starting up the control" for detail information. HTH

I have purchased the controller only because I have drives and other components with the old machine. I have received a CF card separably 6FC5313-5AG00-0AA2 (SINUMERIK CF-CARD 2GB empty) along with the order saying SOFTWARE LICENSES INSIDE. I have installed the CF card backside of the controller. But screen is displaying " THIS IS NOT A BOOT-ABLE DISK PLEASE INSERT A BOOT-ABLE FLOPPY AND PRESS ANY KEY TO TRY AGAIN" How can I solve the problem? Kind regards

Needs to check drive, motor compatibility with controller Depending upon machine application, no of axes etc. etc. PPU & Cf card with applicable software needs to be selected & purchased. Since CF card you installed is empty, system does not boot. So considering above points, you need to purchase suitable software on CF card. HTH

But I ordered it along with the turning software. They supplied me a package saying software license inside [SOFTWARE ........QC passed] . On backside of the package says Licensed product,. open software unit are not returnable. What does it mean for? I ordered turning variant software and I paid for that.. I have general question, is it possible to damage the software inside CF card some way? How could I know CF card was empty? Can check using my PC with a card reader?

BTW, have you approached Siemens regional support center or to any machine tool builder before processing purchasing of Siemens component? Generally not possible, unless & untilor unknowingly it is tempered off or physical damage of CF card. AutoGen_1940312 [snip] How could I know CF card was empty? Can check using my PC with a card reader? No. I suggest you not to check/insert card on external card reader. Do you have Access My Machine software installed on PG/PC? If yes, you can access CF card & check data on card.
