Hi, all I have a problem with onlining to S5 CPU921 via AS511 and RS232-TTY cable. Following the introduction on this forum, I have added a DB15 to DB25 convertor and supplied +5v on pin 14,12. But it still can't work. I see a message on AS511 manual, it said "Siemens S5 PU protocol not supported on S5135U CPU921 /16-BIT CPU". Then how can I online to this PLC? Can someone help? Hello nickchen, This Simatic S5 type are not supported by AS511 protocol. Why does the online mode not work with the S5-PC converter TTY - RS 232? (only 5V on pin14) regards |

Hello nickchen, Look at this also. Maybe will help you to make the right cable. How do you connect a PG 7xx? Try cable with +5,2V in pin14 and ground signal of the +5,2V to the same as the CPU. Other way is to ask Mr. Late regards |
