Hello Saptauto, I have manual of CP541. Look at attachment. OP277 is possible to connect to Step5 via Profibus DP protocol. best regards, Hristo Mihalev Attachment6ES5 998-1DL21.pdf (59 Downloads) |

I'm afraid you can NOT dear saptauto. While the the CP541 is a SINEC L1 to Profibus DP (well SINEC L2 to be precise) converter, your PLC would need to be a DP Master and you woudl need tobe able to configure the Panel as a DP Slave for ti via the CP541 to make it work (which you can NOTdo with the SINEC L1 port). Having said that, should you have a 95U with an onboard DP Master port (part number 6ES5 095-8ME02) you can connect the OP277 to it (without the need fora CP541). Note too that Siemens has just relaesed SP2 for WinCC flexible 2008 and "ressurected" support for AS511 communications. This means that you can now again use the AS511 programming port of your S5 to connectcertain HMI Panels. I hope this helps |
