Open communication

Dear,

I want to make an open communication between :

PLC 1 :
CPU 318-2DP
CP343-1

PLC 2 :
CPU 315-2PN/DP

In PLC 1 I Use AG_SEND

In PLC 2 I Use the FB63 , FB64, FB65 from the Example program of Siemens.


But i can not establish the connection.
I have alsoo used the wizard for open communications.

Do you have any idea what the probem is ?

well, answering your question is not as easy as it may sound ... seen from your question.

May you provide some information? I have the following questions:

What type of Connection do you use?
How did you configure the Connections? (single sided or both sided configured, and how... please add the parameter)
Which partner is active, which one is passive?
How do the Ports / TSAP look like?

If you see in STEP7, do you see the Connection is established on the CP side?
What does the FB T_CONN say about the connection establishment, do you receive a DONE?
If not, what STATUS is shown on the T_CONN?

Dear,

The purpose of this communication is to send 3 DB's (DB105 - db106 - db108) from PLC 1 to PLC2. Each DB is 10Kbytes.

well... where may I start with... OK.

First of all, the S7-300 independent what interface you use does not support the transfer of more than 8 kB with one Task. So if you want to transfer more than 8 kB (8192 Byte) you will have to split this task into two tasks at least for each DB.

The next point I saw is that the TSAP on the CP side is set to TCP-1, fine but on the PN CPU side you tell the function SET_ISO_ENDPOINT to use the Slot 4 in the TSAP... which changes the TSAP to E0.04.... so... this TSAP is wrong, the connection may never be established.

Personally I am not as happy about this function as some others are. I would recommend to use the open communication wizard instead.
