PASSWORD PROTECTED MMC

vipz Gold Member Joined: 9/2/2012 Last visit: 8/15/2024 Posts: 711 Rating: (30)	Hai, In one of our customer place, S7-300 is installed. But at that time plant people didn't ask for the PLC backup. Now that OEM is not exists. When we tried to upload the program backup, concluded that MMC is read-write protected and nobody is aware of password. Since original machine supplier is not exist today, there is no possibility to get the password. If something goes wrong with MMC,plant will be shutdown. So customer is asking for the support. How we can overcome this issue ? I know there is no legal way to get it done, but we dont have any other choice. If anybody is having option, please update me via P.M

Not exactly editing, but troubleshooting the problem. without program backup, we will not be able to trace the cause incase of any problem in operation.
