Hi, One of the issues we are facing is connecting a MPI-USB adaptor to a PLC that does not have 24V power. On browsing the doc for the adaptor I came across the following line. "To operate the PC Adapter USB to MPI/DP interfaces which do not have a 24V supply voltage, you can order an external power supply (order number: 6ES7 972-0CA00-0XA0)." Can someone help me on how to connect the power supply to the adapter or can someone get images of the power supply. I checked out http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=27230249&nodeid0=14690331&load=content〈=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW But couldnt get any information there. Thanks and Regards Shivam

Hello shivam; Sorry, I do not have a picture showing the power supply you are looking fopr, but you will find information and a cicruit diagram of the PS in the following thread: /tf/WW/en/Posts/22296 Look at MaxAutomationUK's last post, open the MPI-USB manual at pages 17 and 18 for more details, Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
