Problem opening projects Step 7 Version 5.4

I happen to have saved a number of projects I did in other works, practices etc .... on the hard disk and now want to open the STEP 7 project detects me but leaves open only the name and little else ... or hardware configuration or the programmed blocks or anything ..... any ideas? .... is very important to me not to lose this data. hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/26/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	Dear Diosnel, Just to add extra information regarding to your case: First you should know , in which version you have developed your project.It is possible to found out in the saved project path. Here 2 scenarios may happen.You have a project developed with newer STEP 7 version but the current version is old.This is possible if the new features (program,hardware) of the new version were not used to develop it (read more:Can a STEP 7 project from a current version be edited in a previous version?). In the reverse case, you should only ensure that all required hardware/optional packages exist the higher version. Archived projects should be retrieved Projects that are altered with windows tools(internal structure changed) are not possible to 100% recover all the time. Projects that infected by Malwares, if possible, can be recreated by exporting information. Finally, we should know what is your exact problem, in which group it is categorized and what is the error messaged reported by STEP 7? I hope this helps, hdhosseini
