Problem positioning Sinamics S110 + PLC

Hello,

My S110 hasn't succesfully jogged in STARTER.

My teacher thinks it because I haven't done much with the encoder on STARTER, how can I connect the encoder properly in STARTER ?

What can I do further ?

Hello Robbe,

Yes, you'd best prove movement from Starter before trying with TIA portal.

If you have a DriveCliq motor, you can auto-configure everything in Starter.

What motor do you have?

My motor has Drive-Cliq I think, my motor is the 1FK7022-5AK71-1UG3.

Hi Robbe,

In your previous post (https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/us/en/posts/plc-and-sinamics-s110-profinet/210046/?page=0&pageSize=10) you said that it runs from Starter, but in this post you said it doesn't.  I'll assume it doesn't.

I don't have a S110 system I can test with, but something like the attached should hopefully work?  Simple configuration: no extra function modules, Telegram 3 selected.  I believe you only have telegram 3 available for S7-1200 TO positioning.  You must get it running from Starter (control panel) before moving on to TIA Portal.

On the TIA Portal side, you don't need topology and I'd suggest removing it.  It's not advantageous for S7-1200 control.  You just need the S110 device networked with correct IP, Profinet name and telegrams, then map the telegrams to a TO configured for Profidrive.  Just set up the Drive and Encoder sections of the TO, nothing else, then try to run it from the control panel.  If you can do this then save the projects; it is your fallback point in case something goes wrong later.  I've attached a sample project in V13 SP1 because I don't have V14 w/o SP.
