Problem with ethernet comm

gururaj Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using Ethernet module (6GK7-343-1EX30-0XE0) with S7-300 315 CPUs. I would like to exchange data between 2 PLCs. Simple program is attached herewith. There are problems with data exchange. Every time I get error 8183H (Configuration missing). I have defined IP address in hardware configuration, Is there any other settings I have to do in hardware configuration?? I am using FC5 (AG_SEND) in one PLC and FC6(AG_RECV) in another PLC, and ID is mentioned IP adress of Ethernet module for other PLC. Regards, Guru Attachment Ethernet.zip (420 Downloads)

gururaj Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi Wizard, Thanks for the info. I got comm established. I didnt conf Netpro. Communication established with 2 CP-343-1 .... I have one more station where CPU319-3PN is used. So I cannot use FC5, and FC 6 blocks for the same. CPU319-3PN CPU (s7connection) should communicate with CPU315-2DP (with CP343-1) over ethernet. Which FB should be used for the same ??

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, if you want to use S7-Communication you have to configure a S7-Connection and you use, depending on what you want to do... PUT / GET BSEND / BRECV USEND / URECV If you want to use ISO on TCP or TCP Communication you can do so, if you use the T-Functions shown in the System and Standard Functions manual in the chapter 23 Open Communication via Industrial Ethernet.
