Problem with installing TISOFT

Alanvan69 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	billwest TISOFT is no longer in the CA01 catalogue so I have attached it. The manual is still available for download. I recommend you download it if you are not familiar with TISOFT installation. Attachment:TISOFT.zip (31 Downloads) Hi so I downloaded the zip file for tisoft and the manual and it says to install as follows: 1. Insert the disk labeled #1 into the 3.5-inch drive. 2. Type in the drive letter followed by a colon (A: or B: or the letter for the drive you are using). Press Return .3. At the prompt, type \INSTALL and press Return . 4. Follow the step-by-step instructions on-screen to complete the Problem there is no install file. Is there supposses to be one with that zip?

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (119)	For completeness and incase anyone else needs this information. The zip file is an installed directory. Unzip the files into a directory of your choice. I usually use C:\TISOFT. From the directory you can start the TI505.BAT file and run TISOFT. If you don't want to browse to the folder everytime you run TISOFT, create a shortcut on the desktop connected to the directory and the TI505.bat file. The Relnotes.txt in the zip file has suggestions for the configuration of the shortcut If you do not have a TISOFT cable the manual has the pinouts. Bill
