Problem with order of objects in PCS7 HMI

ImtechArno Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	We have trouble with ordering objects in our PCS7 - HMI application. Some objects are allways on the background. Even when I move them to front, after the next compile they are back in the background again. It is not a layer problem, because all objects are in layer 15 and the lines are in layer 2. It's allways the same objects that are moved to back. It's not a typical problem neither, because they are all generated from the same library. We really want to see it solved, but we don't know how to do it thanks in advance for the help.. Attachment screenshot 1.JPG (303 Downloads)

zerepegro Posts: 183 Rating: (8)	Hello Trecom-Arno; If you are not specially interested in having all objects in the same layer I recommend you to set the lines in a lower layer to be sure that these will be allways under the valves. If you need to select all objects at once this can be very helpful.

Maybe that some of this components such as the status display (extended) stay in layer 1? Please check that the option inherit status is set to Yes.

ImtechArno Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Well I have checked, but the inherit status is Yes for all the typicals. They are all generated simultaneously from the same library, so all typicals have the same properties. This is really very weird..

Have you tried to delete that typical instance in the programm, compile the OS, generate it again and compile the OS again. I know that it is a weird approach, but the its also a weird problem. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Trecom - Arno It's a polyline.. Cannot be the problem.. Is this happening with all polylines on the screen? Are the single lines ok? If yes may be split the polylines to single lines? I have seen some weird things with polylines and layers before. Regards

ImtechArno Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Well last week I tried to move everything to the foreground again, and that worked for a couple of days. However today we compiled the OS, and again the same typicals are on the background. I have really no idea why this still happens. It is clearly not a polyline problem too, because I used so many polylines in the project, and in only a few cases the typical is behind the line. However it is strange it's allways the same valve/pump, so it seems not to be completely random. Any ideas someone?
