Problems with modem 3G

Hello Edu,

Let's take a closer look at your setup and look for a solution together. From your explanation and attachments, it seems that there may be some network management and routing issues occurring on your IOT2050 device. I'm assuming you have the Example Linux-based OS running on your device. Let us use a few things to try to diagnose your connectivity problem:

1. Network configuration:
   
   Check your network configuration to make sure it's set up correctly. You may want to double check the interface configuration (/etc/network/interfaces or /etc/netplan/01-network-manager-all.yaml), your DHCP client settings and your system's network routing tables.
   
   
2. Linux network diagnostic tools:
   
   We will use several network diagnostic commands to investigate your problem.
   
   ifconfig or ip addr: These commands will show the status of all network interfaces. Check that your 3G modem interface is listed and that it has a valid IP address during and after the network crashes you described.
   
   route or ip route: These commands will display your system's network routing tables. Check that there's a default route set to your 3G modem interface.
   
   ping: You're already using this command. Try pinging different IP addresses, both local and remote, to see where your connection is being broken.
   
   traceroute or mtr: These commands can be useful for determining where in the route to a particular host the problem lies. Use them to see where the packets stop.
   
   
3. Monitor your connection:
   
   If possible, install a network monitoring tool in your setup to keep an eye on your 3G connection over time. Tools such as iftop, nethogs or vnstat provide real-time network usage statistics.
   
   
4. Check the system logs:
   
   System logs will give you clues as to what's going wrong. You can view these logs using the dmesg command (which displays kernel messages), or by looking in the /var/log/syslog file. Please share these with us.

In general, internet connectivity is not necessarily a problem with the device itself. It could be related to your 3G service provider, the signal quality in your area, or some other external factor. Have you checked all these possibilities?
