Hello David; If you use specific PID programming packages from Siemens such as Standard PID, Modular PID... then you will have integrated functions that will allow you to generate a setpoint ramp. Look at the attchment to find out about the Standard PID RMP-SOAK function: Standard PID Control: see the RMP_SOAK function in the attached document If you use FB41/SFB41 then you have to program your own ramp generator fuinction.
