sankannan Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I have Simatic pc panel FI15 (MS DOS Version) communicating with S5 cpu928B in one of old machine. Currently the panel pc monitor is not working and we connected on pc monitor throgh VGA port in panel pc and it is working. Now i need to replace with new HMI or panel pc. In PLC side there is no problem we have DP port in optional 308 module. But in panel pc kindly clarify how to take any backup from FI15. which software is using for development, upload, downoad from simatic panel FI15? i can't get any details from all websites regarding FI15 panel pc If anyone worked with this, Kindly reply me. Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Friend, You have not mentioned about the OS of HMI FI15, You may have MS DOS or Windows 95, I you are having MS DOS simply copy the Hard disk to spare hard Disk with copy command X-Copy and try it your Desk top PC if the software works then you may think of any Simatic PC with required communication Ports, Good Luck!

sankannan Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Dear Shivaji patil, Many thanks for your reply, Yes the FI 15 panel pc having MS DOS 6.2 OS. I don't have much knowledge about DOS & commands. Kindly give me the detailed procedure to copy the same to another hard disk and install in latest simatic panel pc with XP or windows 7. It will be very helpful for us. Regards, kannan

Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Sankannan, You can copy the hard disk using following command at Dos prompt e.g To copy all contents of C drive to D : drive xcopy c:. /E /H /R /S d: Secondly let it be clear New PC you can use as substitute to old PC but can not Use the features Like Touch ,windows etc as the your current application is Dos based. may be you have to Connect keyboard and Mouse Externally to operat this. by the way what Software is used for process visulisation with Siemens Simatic PC?
