Hello a.z.r.; This forum is supported by the Industrial Automation and Drives (IA&D) division of Siemens, that also develops and markets the S7 PLCs. They have their own electrical engineers designing the PLC CPUs and modules, and they have created the power supplies for the S7 CPUs. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/8859629/100849824011 Sitop is an enginnering group that belongs to the Siemens Industry group, a different division. They have a different mandate, they are in charge of designing all power supplies Siemens offers for industrial purposes, single-phase and 3-phase, in a much larger range of voltages than the ones offered for S7-300 CPUs, DC/DC converters, also small UPS systems. Both worlds meet in certain applications, their brochure includes a section "SITOP in Simatic design" that you can use directly with S7 PLCs. Your own 6EP1334-2AA01, is shown in the SITOP Smart standard power supply line. So you already know that you can use SITOP equiment in lieu of a standard S7-300 power supply. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
