Hello Cybertech; Replacing a v4 H-CPU system (such as your S7-41404H) with a v6 H-CPU sysetm (such as your suggested s7-414-5H requires much ork, since the new CPUs introduce Profinet amd other functionnalities that v4 CPUs do not have. Howebver, I believe you might have a n issue choosing a S7-414-5H to replace a s7-417-4h, simply on the level of the accessible memory difference A S7-414-5H shows 4 MB available memory, while your old S7-414-7-4H has 20 MB. How much work memory are you using presently on the older CPUs? Can the S7-44-5H CPUs work with a similar size program? See the screenhot below, comparing S7-417-4H, S7-414-5H and S7-417-5H CPUs. Now, for the IM 153-3. These modules were lauched in 1999, and have been discontinued for more than 10 years. I fear they will not be available in the hardware catalog of the newer CPUs. You will probably have to look to newer IM 153-2 modules, configured with active bus modules into a Y-Link, to connect your Porfibus-DP slaves to a S7-400H of the newer generation: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/pd/277436?pdti=pi&dl=en&lc=en-WW https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/43688632 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
