Report Printing

Hello guys

I am treading into new territory and need some advice. I have never done reporting before and would like to know what are my options. The information that needs to be captured and then printed is Temperatures of tanks once the part is loaded and unloaded also there will be a graph that will have to be plotted and printed on the page showing duration of the part submerged and at what voltage it was at. The job numbers will be pulled in with a barcode scanner and I will need to have some writing on the page with a tick box or two. The current hardware I have is a s7 314 2 DP PLC with a TP 170 b PLC. I will be receiving my temperatures via analogs and my graph information via Profibus. I have not bought barcode scanner as I am unsure what I all need.

I have done a lot of calling round and have gotten to an answer I think. I have been told I need to write a VB script.

What I need is once the part has gone through the process I must recall the graph with some time stamps and temperatures and have it print all this information on one page. My problem is I do not know how I can put the Graph on the report page and also have no experience with VB Script.

I was thinking of having the vb script take a screen shot of the graph and paste it on the report page. I do not know if this is even possible?

I got a reply from the siemens department and they informed me that a industrial pc would be the best route. Unfortunately this is out of the budget and i also do not own the soft ware to program such a device

I have all ready bought the other equipment but if it fails this is the first option i will be looking at.
