S120 CU320 Step7 HW-config S7-300

niels hendrickx Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I am a student currently working on a testing station using several different interfaces and modules, but I'm currently having some difficulty integrating the sinamics S120 into a PROFIBUS network. For starters, I'm having trouble with choosing the S120 in the Hardware config, the only one I can choose is the Sinamics S (no number). (Also how do I know what Telegram to select?) It is a CU320, Smart Line Module, Double Motor Module configuration I Have the DP switches on the module itelf set to address 12, and when I turn on the power the 'RDY' lights on everything turn orange, and the DC-link lights on both the Smart Line Module and the Double Motor Module turn orange aswel. I was hoping some more experienced people than me could help me with this problem. Here is a more detailed description of what I'm working with: - SINAMICS CU 320 (6SL3040-0MA00-0AA1) - Compact Flash Card (6SL3054-0CG01-1AA0) - Infeed (6SL3130 - 2TE21 - 0AA0) - synchrone servomotor (1FK7040 – 5AK71 – 1 EH0) - Drive (6SL3120 - 2TE13 - 0AA0) - PLC S7-319F 3PN/DP Thanks in advance, Niels Hendrickx

The GSD-File "Sinamics S" is a general file and should be usable for the CU320. If you want to use the "actual" GSD File then you have to install it in Hardware Config. You can find the GSD File on your CF Card in the folder Siemens > Sinamics> Data > CFG When you have installeda GSD File orusing the"Sinamics S"File - then you should expand the veiwin the hardware catalog and insert a telegram from the list "into" the gsdFile (using drag and drop). niels hendrickx It is a CU320, Smart Line Module, Double Motor Module configuration I Have the DP switches on the module itelf set to address 12, and when I turn on the power the 'RDY' lights on everything turn orange, and the DC-link lights on both the Smart Line Module and the Double Motor Module turn orange aswel. Orange light on the RDY LED is because the (automatic) configuration is not done yet. Orange light on the DC Link LED means you have power on your DC circuit. At this stateit is necessary to open anew starter project and configure offline a CU320 with profibus adress 12 OR just use the "search for another attendant / partner! button. Then we can go online and make an automatic configuration. niels hendrickx I was hoping some more experienced people than me could help me with this problem. niels hendrickx Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the help so far, I've been able to get the GSD file from the CF-card, and I've been able to establish a connection between the Sinamics and the PG by using a MPI cable plugged into the PROFIBUS cable.(with the STARTER software) With this method I've been able to use the automatic configuration function, so everything should be configured right... Now I still need some help with knowing which Telegram to choose in the HW-config and if someone could possebly help me find a (standard) functionblock for communication between the PLC and the Sinamics module. (I just need to be able to start and stop the servo, and read the speed/position via the encoder) Thanks in advance, Niels Hendrickx
