S5TIME Syntax

nelsonhtb Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am very new to S7 PLC and need help urgently cos boss require answer and action immediately. I need to know the correct syntax for writing the time of 100 secs because one of our interlock logic will activate in 100 secs. Existing format now is S5T#1M40S but after reading thru the manual, I suspect this form is wrong. We encountered a fault that will activate this logic sequence in 100 secs but did not happen. I check the timer and now suspect the syntax is wrong maybe...Can someone help out here now? Should it be written as: 1. S5T#1M_40S 2. S5T#0H_1M_40S Hi You can easily type S5T#100s if you do not bother yourself of calculating hours, minute or second in the time value you want.The editor will automatically convert it to the format S5T#1M40S.This would not be source of error.

nelsonhtb Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi IBN-Service, Thank you very much for advice. I think I have a big problem now and need to go thru the whole program which I am not familiar with Step7 program. Still have not go thru training yet and there is no engineer in my plant now to help me out.

There is a function Go to location, rightclick on the specific bit and choose goto location (or highlicht the bit and use ctrl-alt-Q), now you can see where that bit is used and where it's read or written to.
