S7 1200 Put connection

Hi !

I try to do a connection between 2 PLCs S7-1214C with TIA Portal V13. I do the configuration in PLC 1 with a the bloc PUT to send a bool to PLC 2. I use a FB to generate a clock pulse and I permit the access with PUT/GET.

But nothing happen, the two variables stay different and the status is still 0000 with no error.

to use PUT/GET you need to use absolute addresses on both the origin and destination PLCs.

M memory is absolute addressed by default, but if you want to send DB info you need to right click it, go to properties, select attributes and uncheck "optimized block access"  then recompile all and download.

I took a look at your project.

You went the hard way with your flashing output.

Right click on your PLC in the Project tree > Properties > System and clock memory, you have all the flashing bit you need here. (You already checked the check box)

M0.0 to M0.7 flash with different frequency. (I use M0.5 for the REQ input)

Uncheck the "Optimized block access" of the "Data_block_1" of PLC_2.

You already permit the access to the PLC in the Protection tab of the PLC properties.

I use pointer for the ADDR and SD inputs. (both of them)

I did the changes and now it works. Actually, it didn't work also because i didn't upload the hardware configuration in the PLC. I didn't use the clock memory because it didn't work sometime. But in loading the hardware configuration, everything become clear !

Yes, system and clock memorys are parts of the hardware configuration.

So, if you don't download the hardware configuration after you check the clock check box, they won't exist online. (the tags will be add to the offline tags table which is confusing for some people)

I suggest you click one time on PLC to highlight it on the project tree, then you click the icon download on the top of TIA, the one with an arrow pointing down.

If there is a difference between hardware, software, online or offline, TIA manage it and download the difference. 

You can also "go online" with the PLC and see if there is a difference online/offline with the green/blue/orange circles.

You can also use the "glasses" to see what is currently going on in the network you are working with.
