S7-1200 with Sinaut MD720-3

The only way to use this modem with S7-1200 is to use RS232 communication module and control modem via AT commands and ASCII protocol.

nickephx Posts: 8 Rating: (2)	This library does in fact exist. I recently used this library successfully for a proof of concept test. You can read about it here: http://www.dmcinfo.com/blog.aspx/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/156/Siemens-S7-1200-PLC-communicates-through-Sinaut-MD720-3-cellular-modem.aspx You will need to upgrade your Step 7 Basic 10.5 to SP2, because the main "com" function block uses indirect addressing to the byte array used for communication registers. The documentation for this library is still being translated from German to English, so I'm not sure the library is officially released yet. Feel free to contact me if you need help.
