S7-1214c Firmware V4

Hi everybdy,

I have a S7-1200 CPU with firmware 3.0 and I want to integrate to the system a master IO-link SM1278 which works with CPUS with firmware 4.0 or higher (fact that I noticed after receiving it). so the question is: can I upgrade the firmware version of my CPU S7-1200 1214c??? or is there any other solution for this problem?

no a FW Update to V4.x is not possible for you PLC (HW Changes), so you must order a new PLC if you need FW V4.x.

Have you try to work with a V3.x PLC and the module?
In my TIA V13.0 SP1 i can project the SM1278 on a V3 PLC without a error message.
