S7-1500 PLC Black Display

Good day all,

One of our S7-1500 PLC's (6ES7 516-3AN01-0AB0) had a black display. Is this something to be concerned about, since the PLC is still operational?

I see that the display panel has a re-order number and the manual mentions it can be removed - so perhaps this is not a big thing?

However, can someone please advise how to remove this display panel, as I can not find anything obvious when trying?

I recommend you check that your display has the latest firmware version available and if not, try loading it to see if this solves the problem: Firmware update S7-1500 CPUs incl. Displays and ET 200 CPUs (ET 200SP, ET 200pro)
