S7-1500 PTO Outputs

Hi, I want to know if PTO or PWM outputs can be configuredwith this controller (Like in S7-1200).Whichoutput modules can be used,how are they configured, if possible.

Can you get the same functionality with the TM pulse module(6ES7138-6BD00-0BB1) of an ET200sp module?

Pulse/direction works great with the 1200CPU. Should be nice if i get the same results with the ET200sp.

the S7-1500 has Technology objects for speed and positioning axis, which would be programmed with PLC open blocks (MC_Power, MC_Move_Relative, ....).
So you can integrate a SINAMICS G drive very simple by the STARTDRIVE (inside TIA Portal).

 it only useful with Inverter or Servos Drives support PROFIdrives, and so many drives only support: PTO pulse + direction.

I hope the next version of TIA Portal will support PTO instruction..

I had the same problem, figuring out how to use the build in PTO in the CPU 1512C.
It is a little bit more hidden, compared to S7-1200.
First, you have to acitvate the PTO in the CPU itself.

in TO Motion Control you have to choose the data drive "PROFIdrive"

Select "Drive" in Data connection.
Now the Pulse_X drives from the CPU itself should appear. Choose them and have fun with your stepper motors :-)

I want to thank the Siemens Technical support, who finally gave me the answer after searching the whole internet..
I thought this would help you and some more, who are struggling with the same problem.
This thread will be a thread with a given solution from now on :D

I don't find Profidrive in my motion control menu inside TO. I have TO_SpeedAxis, Positioning axis, etc, but nothing like profidrive. I use 1512C-1 PN
