S7-151F goes into fault when you try to monitor a custom safety function block

Hello everyone,

I have a weird issue with a S7-1515F (6ES7 515-2FM00-0AB0).
Firmware: V1.7.0  TIA Portal Version: V16 and/or V17

The CPU is running properly. All the code is fine.
When I try to monitor online a custom safety function or function block the cpu goes into fault. Any block. The moment I press the monitor button it goes into fault.

First I thought it was my code causing the issue. So, I loaded a brand new empty project, created a basic safety function block (with one input - one output) and still I have the same issue. 

Initally I was using TIA Portal V17. I also tried TIA Portal V16 with no success.

I ve reseted to factory settings the CPU multiple times + format the memory card.

The two faults-events I am getting are:

Event ID: 16# 02:2505

Event ID:16# 0D:75D1

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

The diagnostic data you provide is not really helpful. We would need more than two events.

However, when I read your descriptions, my first thought was cycle time? Perhaps your cycle time for the fail-safe programme is close to the allowed value. Please check this.

Ive just tried the cycle time and does not make any differnece.

for future reference:

I just found a solution.

I updated the firmware to the latest one and it start working!
