S7 200 GSM communication (SMS)

yanco Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello! I would like to use S7 200 (224XP) CPU for communication with GSM phone (SMS). From CPU i would like to send : basic alarms (DEWICE ON, OFF, ACTIVE,... ) 2 measurements of temperature (0..100) on GSM phone. What kind of GSM modem i need ?? What are your experiences with sending SMS on GSM phone? Do i need some special software or can i connect CPU direct to GSM modem ? Greetings Y

lorenzo Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Yanco! There is a library for STEP7-MicroWIN that solves all the SMS management using the S7-200 and a Siemens TC35i or TC65 modem. Its name is Nubitek SMS Manager. It inserts the values you need in the SMS, configures the modem initial settings, makes posible to send the SMS to several mobiles phones at the same time or manages the SMS queue when several alarms rise togheter. You can download it for a free test in www.nubitek.com, and projects with examples of use and full documentation. Regards, Lorenzo
