S7-200 software with S7-300 CPU

ARAGON Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi.. im have a problem where ; a) my loader only have S7-200 software and i want to upload and download to CPU S7-300. i just confuse there is a link between S7-200 and S7-300 because im try to communicate between them and there has a problem where the software cannot acknowledge the CPU. So, i need ur help my friend.. and that means i need to buy a new software for S7-300??

Unfortunately this software you cann't use for S7-300. You must have Step7 basic, or in some cases you can also use Step7 lite. When you have a S7-300 CPU with no special cards or networking. Here you can download Step7 lite: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24372175 When you need more functionality you have to purchase Step7 basic. Best regards, Wizard
