S7-300 DO not giving any output signal

OLAMIX Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, i am currently working on siemens 7-300 plc, i have done all the necessary configurations on the the HWconfig and the programming on the S7 LAD, this is just a simple project, the scope is to light up a bulb, My digital i/o is 24v, cpu 315-2 DP i have a switch as the input and a bulb is connected to the output of the Do i have downloaded the program on the cpu and each time a run it, i can see the green indicator showing that my program is runnin fine switching of the switch will make the green line on the ladder rung disappear , this shows that my program is communicatin with the CPU the Challenge: the cahallenge is that , i cant see any output on the DO side where i make the connection but i can see the indicator light on the DI side where i made the input connection..... please what could be wrong, i cant even get a single voltage on the DO side , at least the address that i configured on my symbol shoul be giving me some indications that i have something on the out put... this is not the case here I need your inputs , expert... Regards

Regards Hi OLAMIX, Please tell me which Module you are (MLFB No.) using for the your project, please Checked the wiring on the Output module Flape, or Here is the link fo the S7-300 Module Data http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8859629 & also tell me which type of Bulb or Indicating Lampyou connected on Output Side. is it 24 VDC type Or 110/220 VAC.

OLAMIX Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	DI/O IS Digital IO module SM 323; DI 16/DO 16 x DC 24 V/0.5 A; (6ES7323-1BL00-0AA0) i have the manual already and i followed the connection as discribed in the manual for the input 1 common, group of 16 I for the output 2 common,group of 8 I The bulb is 24vdc bulb i cant even get any signal at the DO (output side) hope to here from you soon

Ammy Platinum Member Joined: 4/19/2008 Last visit: 9/3/2024 Posts: 1525 Rating: (159)	Hi OLAMIX, Please checked the setting in the Hardware configuration, Right click on Output module & Select the Monitor & modified option, & modified the Output value0 & 1 & checked the output is gettingON or not. or checked the front Connector is connected correctly.

OLAMIX Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi Ammy, Many thanks for your contributions, it worked, now i feel like a super man, i really appreciate your commitment, i can now create as many inputs as i want and on the output indicator on thr plc , it shows... EUREKA........... but i need to ask , why do we have to connect the 21 no terminal to the 24vdc and bla bla...... i need some light on that (from my understanding, the output needs some power source) warm regards Note: please let me have ur Skype address yahoo addresss gmail address etc so we can further discuss
