S7-300 modules with S7-1200 CPU

dadogtv Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have some modules that are S7-300 family namely 321 DI, 332AO and 322 DO and would like to use S7-1200 as a CPU, is that possible and how. I also have DP, ET 200M, and 443 comm processor Thanks

The S7-1200 can be IO controller of an ET200M on Profinet IO. By adding a communication processor Profibus Master the S7-1200 can be a Master of a ET200M slave on profibus. See an example added as screenshot from Portal. In these IO device/Profibus slave you can use certain types of S7-300 modules SM321, SM322, ... See the posts above. S7-300 modules are not compatible physically with S7-1200 CPUs. But they can be connected to a S7-1200 CPU as part of a ET 200M slave, either over Profibus (using a IM 153-2 head module) or over Profinet (using a IM 153-4 head module).
