S7-400 H & IO redundant with different DP master

YogendraK Silver Member Joined: 11/9/2008 Last visit: 5/21/2023 Posts: 400 Rating: (5)	Dear All, I have S7-400 H Station CPU 412-5H [6ES412-5HK06-0AB0]. In this project I am using IO redanduncy. I have four no.of ET 200M station. As per client requirment 1st no.of ET-200M station should be connected to X1 port i.e MPI/DP (I have configure MPI/DP is DP port) and its redandunt moduleshould beconnected to X2 port i.e DP port.Same for 2nd no. of ET 200M is connected to X1 port i.e MPI/DP nd its redandunt module is connected to X2 port i.e DP port. Please let me know whether IO redanduncy will work for the same.I have some confusion because I am using different DP master system for main Rack and redandant rack. Regards, Yogendra G

You can have One set of Redundant Profibus network from the MPI/DP Ports of both CPUs ( Configured as Profibus ) with 2 Racks connected Create a 2nd Redundant Profibus Set from the DP Ports of both CPUs - Connect the remining 2 racks with the Redundant set of modules to this network. Configure the module redundancy in the software. Still just to be sure, I think you should raise a : support request and be sure about it. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag
