Hello Ramak, Do you use PCS7? Which version? In PCS7 5.x you can use MPI for the plant bus. As of 6.x, the plant bus communicates through Industrial Ethernet. Maybe you are in the wrong forum? Anyhow, a few tips to determine the cause of your problem: - Did you set PG/PC interface correctly to PC Adapter MPI? Set "USB" in the properties - In PG/PC interface, did you set the option: "PG is the only master on the bus"? - Baud rate is set correctly? - Adapter drivers are installed (correctly)? - If you plug in the MPI USB adapter, do you see the power led illuminate? If not, the adapter is not working at all - Does the "active" LED blink? If not, you got a cable problem - In Simatic Manager, you can get online to see: "Accessible nodes". Can you detect the PLC? If not, you have no connection. -

Ok, How do you connect to the CPU? To port X2 or port X1. Is X2 configured eq: networked? Otherwise, use X1 port. Can you see the CPU through accessible nodes? Can you perform a MRES on the CPU? Maybe something wrong on the CPU side.. I uploaded a manual for you (attached). Please check if you have the same MLFB number, maybe you can check the manual to be certain all steps have been taken. Please let me know when you solve the issue and what it was... AttachmentPC_Adapter_USB_e.pdf (198 Downloads) |
