S7 V5.3 + SP3 with field pg problem

Harp Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Has anyone had this problem? I have a field pg running S7 V5.3 + HF1 (basic package) running fine. If I install SP3 I lose access to projects - the +(expansion buttons) in the arranger disappear so i have no access to any part of the project. I have tried complete reinstallations but the problem remains. The field PG is running Windows 2000 pro (5.0 build 2195)

Harp Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	well i didn't get much response to this post - so very little help! however, i got around the problem, albeit without finding a solution what i did during the holsby Harp aged 7 and a bit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I used norton partition magic to create a new os onto which i loaded win xp pro I loaded s7 5.3 +sp3 from scratch onto this partition and lo and behold i worked. this is crap i know but when needs must.......... i am now slowly migrating software from my 2k partition to my winXP partition and resizing as I go.

Maybe that brings something [:(] If there is something in the registry that blocks another version some way then it never will work again, so what i have done sometime is deinstall all STEP7 packages and then use the FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/189025where is described how to clear all data and the registry. It is some work but all dead bodys are gone after that! [:P] Then you start new and the hole registry is cleared about STEP7 and the packages.
