Safety Matrix Picture Display Error

Jie Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	After I made some modification in a safety matrix table, the matrixpicture for a specific cause can't display normally, the row of cause information hidden behind the scroll bar in the graphic, and the scroll bar couldn't move. Meanwhile, the cause existing in the table which I haven't revised, the display is good, who can tell me what's happening? Thanks!

When you are looking at the matrix with the cause that is not displaying properly, are you talking about having the entire matrix expanded, and there is one cause not diplaying properly or are you talking about having the matrix filtered to a specific cause and the effects associated with that cause? If its the latter, can you pull down the bottom (as if you were trying to manually resize?) and then see the cause name? How long are the names on the effect (# of characters)?

The picture what I'm saying is the one opened by clicking the CAUSE BLOCK ICON, e.g., when I click the icon linked to cause1, the matrix picutre includes all the information regarding cause1 would display. But currently the cause row covered by the scroll bar, the vertical scroll bar moving has no effect to display the cause row. You can also refer to the attachment, the differentin the good one and badone.The good picture shows all the information related to the specified cause, and the bad picture can't show all, I think the reason is I modified something in the matrix, but I alsobelieve it should be a bug in the safety matrix 6.2, even I did the modification, but I transferred and compiled the matrix as well, the OS is compiled and downloadtoo. RugbyGuy Silver Expert Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	Hi Jie, You would install this on all the PCs, only the view part for the OS servers + Clients, and Matrix Engineering tools on ES. This can be executed in run. However with all safety systems I would be very 'safe' in my approach. I would make sure the proverbial 'bullet in the chamber' is non-existent. I would check the current 'Safety Signature' then execute a 'parameter' transfer of the matrices first (not chart+parameter), followed by cfc compile (changes only, then check compare the signatures and see what has changed and verify this is OK) and then a changes download. This should just prove that your system is in a good state and is ready for the upgrade. I have heard of users putting in an update (not just safety) execute compiles and downloads and stop the CPU. They thought it was the update, however someone else made changes that resulted in a CPU STOP (example, modified a blocks interface). So once you know your program is OK, then install the SM V6.2 SP1, Transfer the Matrix (parameter only), select update All for the alarm blocks. Then CFC compile/download (changes ofcourse), then OS compile and download (also changes). If you are unsure of all this, you can always execute on PLC SIM first

Jie Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Currently, the safety matrix SP1 installed in client OS but exclude Sever and ES, so if we want to fix this issue we need to complete the SP1 installation in all the PC? If so, we would try to install SP1 in a near future since your instruction is so clear and operable. Thank you so much!
