Scout V4.1.5.3 MSXML Error

Mercury Engineer Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	After doing a fresh Scout 4.1 SP5 HF6 install to a VM running XP Pro SP3 fully patched, instead of program start I get an XML Meta Data error "MSXML error. The parameter is incorrect; null" I tried the fix of copying u7wwbfax.exe.config into the S7Bin folder, but this did not help. I'm using the same Step 7/Scout/WinCC version combination as on 3 other machines, except this one is on a Win7 machine with a VMWare instance of XP Pro running. Any suggestions?

In the directory program files\siemens\step7\u7umc\data\wrkbnch is a file UESPersi.dat. delete/move this file an start scout again. Can you post the installscoutlog.txt file? Normaly this file is created during the installation. Regards Christoph
