Screens method on vista computer

mk1pema Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I've been working on a project on my xp-computer (WinCC 7.0) where everything works fine. When transferring the project to another computer with vista all of my vb-scripts using the Screens-method has stopped working. E.g. Msgbox ScreenItems(1).objectname works fine but Msgbox Screens(1).objectname does not work. I can not find any differences in the WinCC-configuration, does anyone have an idea what’s causing this? Thanks!

Thats not a good referens, you should use something like "ScreenItem("EAField1").Value", means use the objectnameasreferens. With "Screens(1).objectname" you are looking for the objectname of the basescreen. The basescreen has no objectname, so it can not work. What do you want to get? regards cumulus

What I actually want to use (which I should have written from the beginning..) is: HMIRuntime.Screens("Main").Screenitems("Picture").Picturename = "Level1.PDL" This works fine on my xp-computer but not on the one equiped with vista where I get the fault message: "HMIRuntime.get_Screens:No such interface supported" I can use C-script and: SetPropChar("Main.PDL","Picture","PictureName","Level1.PDL"); instead but I'm using vb-scripts with the screens-method in many different scripts which none works at this moment.

You should run the SIMATIC Security Control - Tool which you can find in the Windows start menue (../SIMATIC/SIMATIC Security Control/..)
