GRF Advanced Member Joined: 3/5/2009 Last visit: 1/16/2024 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	In sfc51 ssl-id 232 index 4 there is a checksum 1 and 2 for HW config (word 8 & 9) and Checksum 1 and 2 for the program (word 10 & 11) what is the differences between them

What I would like to do is extract the checksum information and send it out using the ethernet port from the main program so that I could compare to make sure the program has not changed. I can extract the Safety system Signature but would like to make sure the non safety program has not changed either. Thanks

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/6/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	Dear GRF Please note that the checksum1 and checksum2 are just 2 words.As you can see in the attached picture checksum for user program is 32 bit (4-byte clustered hex number).As I guess checksum1 and checksum2 can be combined by OR word andform a Double word which is similar to the shown number in picture.I tried before this function on CPU414H, I rectify the program and will test it today.If successful, I will share the result. GRF Advanced Member Joined: 3/5/2009 Last visit: 1/16/2024 Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	I looked at your code and it makes sense to me hardware rack 0 uses word 8 and 9 (System Data: 74 02 2A 04) and program rack 0 uses words 10 and 11(User program: 2C 35 12 E2). Looking at the help file for sfc51 ssl_id 232 index 4 thats what I would expect. But when I use sfc51 in ladder logic on my 317F processor words 9 and 10 make up the System Data: and I can not see any data that looks like whats in the User program: Is there a difference in ssl-id 232 index 4 between a 300 processor and a 400. I'm assuming your #hd_dr.ten is word ten and your #hd_dr.eleven is word eleven in the record. Thanks for taking time to help
