SFC1 Read system clock???

The FAQ previously pointed out by our friend Wizard is still the best example of a STL call of SFC1; look at network 1 in the sample code.

If you need to call SFC1 in LAD, simply drag the instruction to your network and fill in the required outputs, CDTshould point to the same type of Date_and_Time variable you create either in the TEMP variables of your function or in a DB variable., while RET_VAL writes status/error codes to a Word type variable. This has already been explained.

Use the code in network 2 of the sample to distribute the contents of the Date_and_Time variable containing the output of SFC1 into bytes that you can then read in your VAT table.
