I'm talking about the feature called shared device. How is it possible that this is so badly implemented? You have to abuse your project to make it work. Say you have an application where you have two CPUs and want to use a single IO-Station that both these CPUs use some IO-cards of. You have to manually copy the IO-Station, put it in a seperate subnet and use the same IP address and profinet name. This means your two CPUs have to be in a different subnet and cannot communicate anymore. It's much better to not use this feature at all and just buy an extra IO-Interface module. Anyone have good/bad experiences with this? |
