SICAM RTU PS

Hi,

Is it necessary to have SICAM PS in SICAM RTU 400 station? Is it possible to have usually PS, which takes only two slots in rack instead SICAM PS which takes 3 slots in rack?

Does anybody know anything about it?

I always used "normals(not SICAM package)" PS of 10Aand 20A and I never had problems.

Do you use a RTU Station or a Simatic 400 Station with DI, CR, AI, MCP modules of SICAM.

In the manaul of Sicam don't comment about differences between PS of SICAM and SIMATIC, only there a possibility of PS-SICAM with 48 and 60Vdc.

But, doesn't forget that:
The SICAM RTU must not be equipped with more than one CPU, which must be plugged into slot 4 of the central rack.

Ok.

In this case, there are not problems in using a PS of 2 slots and the CPU in the slot 3.
