Siemens motor with of SINAMICS G120 CONTROL UNIT CU240E-2

mbredd Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi, We are trying to do a small poc on IOT for that we have selected seimens devices ( ac motor,drive, BOP-2..etc). We dont have any prior knowledge on these devices.We managed to connect and power the devices.It looks good but after I commissioned the drive and tried to start motor manually from the drive it is not spinning but making noise for around 10 seconds and then beeps. I can see 2 falults always there: 1. A8526 2.A7991 .. I am not able to remove them. I really no clue why motor is not spinning. Here are the list of devices. 1 .SINAMICS G120 CONTROL UNIT CU240E-2 2. SINAMICS S120 CONVERTER POWER MODULE PM340 INPUT: 1AC 200-240V, 50/60HZ OUTPUT: 3AC 2,3A 3. MICROMASTER 4 Line reactor 200V-240V 1AC 3.4A Base FSA-9.5MH not base with V20 4.Siemens Motor 1LA7063-4AB10-Z 5.SINAMICS G120 Basic Operator Panel(BOP-2) I have attached the pics and connection diagram aswell. You must name/label the SINAMICS. Normally this is done online with Starter or Startdrive/TIA Portal, but you can also put the PROFINET Name of the device in some parameters. When the communication is running, you can acknowledge this fault. 7991 - Motor ID activated The SIMAMICS will meter the motor, when it is switched on the next time. This takes about 30 s. You will hear some noise and a few pings during the measurement. When it is finished, the SINAMICS will switch off automatically and this warning will disappear without acknowledge. The next time you are switching on the drive it will run (and spin if it has a setpoint <> 0) Do you use STARTER or Startdrive? Or did you parametrate the drive with the BOP?

If you have a handy AOP-2, try that so you can get more text in the description of the faults while you download and read the faults from the drive. Probably need to commission the drive again and remember to save the ram to rom so the motor parameters are saved. You will maybe also want to perform motor ID calculations where the drive auto-tunes itself to the attached motor using the provided motor data. mbredd Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	It worked with BOP-2 when I set the setpoint. I missed only this rest was fine. Now atleast my connections from motor to drive are working. Now have to control using PLC.
