Example: Master 1 Master 2 8 Byte IN ---> 8 Byte OUT 16 Byte OUT ---> 16 Byte IN

AutoGen_667937 Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	thank you i have just dp1 with profibus connection,and the led is off now(was red on), i dont have the cables on dp2,but still have red on-LAMPS SF2+BF2,-is normal without cable conector? if i use just DP1,the lamps form DP2 must be off or on? Sure if you can't connect the cable on DP2 the led red is ON! Why you connect only DP1 on DP/DP Coupler? Not will run with one cable only!!! Connect also DP2!!!

vipz Gold Member Joined: 9/2/2012 Last visit: 4/29/2023 Posts: 711 Rating: (30)	Hai, DP-DP coupler is normaly using to establish the communication between master ( with less programming effort). if only 1 dp is connected, it become useless(no meaning in connecting only 1 dp). machine manufacturer may considered for this future integration or something like that. like other DP station, if DP-DP coupler is not communicating it will give error. if eror OBs are loaded nothing to worry about it. but still try to analyse what data he is sending to this coupler from PLC program.

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 5/30/2023 Posts: 12026 Rating: (2594)	Hello; You could insertSFC12 in the DP1 PLCprogram to deactivate the call of the DP/DP coupler (until the second DP master is connected, if ever), it would remove the fault on the DP1 side, without affecting the hardware configuration.. Notes for the use of the system function SFC12 "D_ACT_DP" Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
