Yes,

Simocode is an intelligent relay and hence you need contactors for switching.
You can replace conventional Y-D timer and overload relay from the circuit.

Simocode's 3x DO shall be connected with coil of all the contactor and parametise its basic unit with Y-D starter application.

Refer the attached wiring for your reference.

Thanks for the reply but could you please tell that for STAR DELTA connection do i need to take 3 seperate contactors?

As the name suggests:-

Simocode pro C is a varient which provieds current based protection to the motor. It can be connected to various CMM ( current measuring modules) thorugh a flat cable.

It supports only DOL and RDOL feeder selection and doesn't support any expansion modules i.e. it has 4DI/ 3DO onboard + PTC connection. NO analog module, expansion DI/ DO, BTD module etc.
You will get one blind operator panel for Simocode pro C and supports only profibus communication.

Simocode pro V ( variable) is highly advance version Since first Simocode launched in 1986.
It has all the functionality of Simocode pro C and above that supports volatge based monitoring and protection. Hence, we can have CVM ( current and voltage module) modules also used with this varient.
It has 4DI/ 2DOmodule ( 2nos), 1 analog module, 1BTD module and one operator panel with display available as an expansion. ( at a time total 5nos) can be connected.

It supports specific starters/ applications like DOL, Y-D, Valve, positioner, MCCB acutations etc.

Recently Profinet version of simocode pro V has also launched by Siemens.
