Hello G_R_E_Y
Wich library you mean? The library Drive ES PCS7 Vx.y or do you mean the block FbDrive? The block FBDrive is included in PCS7 from version 8.0. This block supports the Standard Telegrams 1 and 20. This block works also with non Siemens drives, as long they support the telegram 1 or 20. As you are on V6.1 it's no option for you. The library Drive ES PCS7 Vx.y was also available for your version (6.1). If you could still purchase it, you need to figure out with the Siemens Sales Department responsible for your region. This library is only for Siemens drives. It works
with the Siemens telegram 352. This is the same like the Standard
Telegram 20 plus a warning number and fault number attached to the
telegram. The library comes also with a textlibrary, so the warning or
fault will be shown in clear text in runtime of the OS.
If you want to know the differences between the different telegrams and how the telegrams are build up in detail, have a look into the List Manual of your inverter. I will give you an example here for G120 with CU240B/E-2: Link You will find the relevant information in chapter 2.6. The interesting part starts at page 2-551. Best regards.. P.S.: Both, the FbDrive and the library Drive ES PCS7, supports the driver wizard of PCS7. |

Also "Experts" are pleased about feedback. Please don't send support requests as PM. Questioners who don't follow up their thread will be put to my list of users to be ignored. |

Hej, I'm not a PCS7 User, but if you don't want to use this library, you could communicate with the G120 like a normal Step7 CPU communicates: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/38844967 |

I see. That's quite some read hehe. I'm yet to check the specific device, but I also found a very simple instruction without using additionally purchased libraries, which uses "Standard Telegram 1" which seems just 4 words: I hope I could use this to the actual device hehe. But still there seems to be no specific description of what exactly are those 4 words? Thanks! |

That could really be helpful, but unfortunately we'll be using Profibus DP (it will be added to the last node of the CPU400 Master DP CP). I haven't checked it thoroughly though, maybe there's also things that could help me. Thanks! |
