Sinamics S120, SMI/DQI Problem

System shows following faults:

231897|Axis Z1 drive 2 DRIVE-CLiQ: No communication to component. Preliminary component number: 4.
231885|Axis Z1 drive 2 CU DRIVE-CLiQ: Cyclic data transfer error. 15 hex.
231851|Axis Z1 drive 2 CU DRIVE-CLiQ: Sign-of-life missing. a hex.
25201| Axis Z1 drive fault
700033|User alarm 34(this is an interlock, oil pump should be on before starting system, so it is not important)

In the STARTER archive (160913_VERTLATHE.zip), one can see that component number 4 correspond to SERVO_03.SMI20_4

As there are two SMI20/DQI in the topology, one for each motor module/encoder's axis (vertical lathe only has two axis), I exchange the cables (profinet cable), to see if the faults also change from axis Z1 to X1. That was the case! After I only change the cables, the problem change from axis.

But I don't know if the cable or the device is faulty? And why would the device be faulty, the machine arrived in 2012, not long ago...

I think the problem is hardware, because Sinumerik 802D SL has a buil-in function to: Load Sinamics Firmware, Load default parameters and Topology recognise. So Software is well configured, as it should come from factory. One should not change anything, in order to work...?

I have tried different methods, I investigate about the faults, but I don't find to get anywhere. Still stuck with the same faults.

Do you have any indication or recommendation?
How could I be sure that the devices is faulty?

Cables were not Profinet Cables, my mistake. Cables are Drive CliQ Motion Connect, green cable, from PowerModule - CUA31:X202 to Motor - SMI/DQI:X500 (please see topology.jpg). Motor Reference 1FK7083-xAF7x-xKxx.

The thing is that the whole system was working OK, without any problem for several months with these cables.

Both SMI20/DQI,SERVO_02.SMI20_7 andSERVO_03.SMI20_4, are connected with green cable, but onlySERVO_03.SMI20_4 shows the problem.

So either the cable connected to device or deviceSERVO_03.SMI20_4 is faulty, right?

This kind of faults are related to communication or device problem... not configuration/parameters, right?
