Sinamics V20

Hi all,

I have 1 sinamics v20 drive in this i have two types of analog inputs to control my motor.

1) 0-10 from potential meter  [in manual mode]

2) 4-20 mA  from potential meter  [in auto mode]

selecting auto manual from DI.

For manual di-1 on auto di-1 and di-4 on tried with parameter manual still not getting result.

please someone help me to what are all the parameters i have to set?

I've read it few times and I still can't understand what's your problem.

You have problem with AIs ? You have problem with setting DI to switch mode ?

If you want simply to use DI to switch analog input from voltage to current mode then you could define to CDS, 1st for manual with f.e AI1 as setpoint and 2nd for auto with AI2 as setpoint. Then you could set AI1/AI2 to proper modes either 0-10/0-20 (or 4-20 with a deadband).

In a two mode i am controlling my drive.

1)Manual mode (means DI-1 is High)

At this time drive should get AI-1 as his reference value and should work according to this

2)Auto mode (means DI-1 & DI-4 is High)

At this time drive should get AI-2 as his reference value and should work according to this

So pretty much as I wrote in my previous post.

You could define 2 CDS (command data set), for 1st data set (CDS0) you could set AI1 as your main setpoint (P1000[0]=2) and for 2nd data set (CDS2) you could set AI2 as your main setpoint (P1000[2]=7)

Then you could set DI4 to change CDS.

DI4 to BICO -> P0704 = 99

CDS set bit 1  controlled by DI4->  P0811 = 722.3

CDS set bit 0 is used to switch from AUTO to HAND on BOP

CDS 0 (bit:00) is normal operation

CDS 1 (bit:01) is BOP control

CDS 2 is both bit:01 and bit:11 so you can set it by simply setting CDS set bit 1 and then use it to whatever you like.

Oh and by using P0809 you can copy CDS0 to CDS2 so you don't have to parametrize all CDS dependant parameters for both sets.

P0700(0) - 2,  (1)-2

P0704(0) - 99

P0756(0) - 0, P0756(1) - 2

P0810(0) - 722.3

p1000(0) - 2 p1000(1) - 7

And i have another question

 I set motor current 3.3 A. At the time of motor jam before its going to trip( means above  2.8 A) i have 1 SSR (4-30Vdc) it should get energize. i used all the DO's now i have only analog output, by using this i should energize this SSR. how can i do this?

So it's pretty much the same, just different DIs and different data sets.

I would be careful though as by modifying 1 CDS ([1] indexes) you're modifying command data set responsible for inverter control by means of bop so you might cripple your bop capability of doing anything (on/off, mop up/down etc).

2nd concern is about P003 = 4, it's service mode which I think requires service password.

P003 = 3 should be sufficient.

Now about your output problem. I'm affraid you cant use AO in this case as it can operate only in current mode (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA software selected). Are you sure you have to use other 2 for your functions and can't do it differently ?

 P0003 = 3 is sufficient but P0003 = 4 not asking any password.

In MM430 if i set P0776 = 1 it gives Voltage analog output. but in V20 i cant see P0776 parameter.

 How can i scale the analog output and input to 4-20 mA? gone through the manual but its confusing.

I believe that unlike MM you cant do it on SV20.

For 4 to 20 mA you have to apply deadband and scale it properly.

There is an explenation for this parameter which shows you steps to produce 2 - 10 V analog input.

The very same way you can change it for analog output 4 to 20mA or whatever you want.

You just adapt P0770  which is x1 of analog output scaling instead of P0757 (x1 of AI)

Instead of P0760 (y2 of AI) change P0780 (y2 of AO), instead of P0758 change P0778 (y1 of AO)

Instead of P0759 (x2 of AI) you change P0779 (x2 of AO)

Instead of P0761 (deadband of AI) you set P0781 (deadband of AO)

  Thanks. In V20 drive i think we don't have 0-10V analog output like Altivar (schneider). So i took This 4-20mA AI to my plc and converted it as a DO since my SSR needed 4-30V dc to get energised.
