Sinaut ST7

ioana Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello! Ihave a ST 7 system as in the attachement and i don't have a clue regarding the connections and the configurations that have to be made. Arethere some guiding lines for the Sinaut ST7 program regarding the settings for this protocol? What coonections have to be inserted in the NetPro between the configured stations? Thanks a lot! As a matter of fact i do happen to have 2 software packages for the Sinaut configuration: -7NH7997-7CA15-0AA1: ST7cc S software -7NH7997-0CA15-0AA0: ST 7 software. By now i have only installed the second one on my ES because i have read in the doc. that the ST7cc has to be installed on the OS. I will send you another attachement with the Sinaut ST7 connections. My questio is if the connections configured are right and what are the steps that i have to make in order to make the functional connections between theese 3 TIMs. Thanks a lot! Dreminee Posts: 58 Rating: (2)	Hi Iona St7cc is a package, when you don't have a plc in your system. In St7cc there is a communication driver integrated, wich makes it possible to communicate directly without a central plc. For only the connections you reguire only the St7 configuration package. Unless you don't have a central plc for dataprocessing ofcourse. Regards, Dreminee

Dreminee Posts: 58 Rating: (2)	Hi Iona I see you haveconfigured a few connections, but remember that now you only have configured the connections(like netpro), after generation of the sinaut programm you still have to configure the active communication(example: For ST7: FB Dat12D_S for sending and FB Dat12D_R for receiving 12 data double words with any information content). In the near future watch out, that the number of tim's is depending on the connection resources of your CPU, check this link. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19741461 Furthermore you will find more information regarding the software programming in chapter 7 of the system manual(Manual SINAUT ST7 Station Control System) over how to configure your connections. My question is if the connections configured are right and what are the steps that i have to make in order to make the functional connections between theese 3 TIMs. Hi, You need the connections to generate from TD7 (the program where you made the hardcopys), after that please go to Netpro and load the connections to the different TIMs and CPUs, the hardware is going then dirctly with Netpro. In Netpro you could see which connections are made and the numbers of the connections that are esspecially made for the TIMs. With the compilation of the connections with TD7 also the software for the CPUs is made and must be loaded. If that is all loaded then you could be reached the stations and all the TIMs. Please consider that there are Stations and a Central part, if you use ST7cc later then that could be the Central Station. Please look in the handbooks for the TIM/ST7 and ST7cc: SINAUT ST7 System Manual, Volume 1: System and Hardware SINAUT ST7 System Manual, Volume 2: Software Manual SINAUT ST7cc Control Center
