Sine-Cos Resolver connection with FM458

Thanks! Miami, for pointing out the error. I have now read the EXM 448 / 448-2 details.

Well EXM 448-2 does support SIMOLINK modules as well as "Masterdrive Modules"
( TheManual does not explicitly list the modules supported)
Masterdrive Option Module "SBR / SBR2" can accept Resolver signals.
However there are several issues in using this option :

a) Customer wants to avoid using Masterdrive Modules as it is perceived as being phased out.

b)I Could not locate a standard block in D7 Sys to read Resolvers . ( AENC supports SSI/EnDAT, only and NAV supports Incremental Encoders only )

c) We are installing EXM438 anyway andwe need to read 2 Nos. Resolvers. Installing 2 Nos EXM448 is not possible with EXM 438.

c) Even if we find ways to remove EXM438, It may be more cost effective to replace the Resolvers with new Encoders / Linear transducers. New Encoders may be less expensive than EXM448 + SBR option modules.

The jury is still out on this. But we shall probably go in form replacing the Resolvers.
