I can hardly find a new Siwarex M nowadays because it was discontinued already. My maximum load is 500 kilos only. What will be the modifications on the program and configuration if it will be replaced by Siwarex U or FTC? Please help me guys. Daniel

How many Siwarex M are there ? 2. You are using only for Weighing Purpose ? 3. Which CPU You have ? You Can Replace with Siwarex U also, if you ahve normal Weighing Function. No Need to Go for FTC, FTC is used when there is a Some Special Function you want to used Like Pressure with Load Cell.

We have two siwarex M connected to a S7-314 and another two siwarex M connected to S7-315-2DP CPU. Each siwarex M is connected to 3 load cells. We are using it for batch control. Is siwarex U a possible replacement for it? What are their differences? Thanks for your immediate response.

Hello Daniel, So you can Easly Change to Siwarex U, Used the Following link to have a Project Backup & Manual for same for How to update with Siwarex U Calibrating SIWAREX U with SIWATOOL U Getting Started S7 Project for SIWAREX U (Step 7 Classic and TIA-Portal) You also Required the Siwatool Software to Calibrate the Siwarex U. Now it will be easy to Workout on your Problem......

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hello Daniel, if you are using the dosing function of the Siwarex M and/or need the high accurcy of the Siwarex M, then you should go for a Siwarex FTA. If the dosing procedure is made in the PLC and you don't need a high accuracy you can go for a Siwarex U. Regards ABenno

I encountered a Coarse and fine dosing data bits on my program and when I trace it, I found out that it came from the Siwarex DB. Does it mean that we are using high accuracy weighing? Does it follow that siwarex M is more accurate than Siwarex U?

Hello Daniel, I have Used the Same Corese & Fine Dosing System For More than 20 Machine Using the Siwarex U & I am Comapring the Siwarex U Value in the PLC to Change the Speed of VFD to Achive High Accuracy. How much is the Accuracy you are Looking for in your Upgradation?

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 3/14/2025 Posts: 1183 Rating: (179)	Hello Daniel Cyborg, If you want to use the coarse and fine signal of the Siwarex module you have to use the Siwarex FTA module. The Siwarex FTA is more accurate than the Siwarex U module. But I guess that the Siwarex U is accurate enough for your application with 0.2% accuracy. If not you have to use the Siwarex FTA module.
