Hello, Check there Which modules can you use when implementing software redundancy? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

Hello autom while I can't say for sure that the 343-1EX30 should be fine for the redundancy link (haven't used it yet for an SWR system), I dare say that it will have to be ok. I would also say that an ISO on TCP link should be ok to use (even though the 1EX30 does support a "pure" ISO link), but would stay away from a "pure" TCP link (as this would require knowledge and/or control over the message lenght (see HERE for more) which you dot have sinceAG_SEND and AG_RECV are embedded inside FB104 SWR_AG_COM). The reason for the above assertion is that the employedAG_SEND and AG_RECV do not "care" about the type of CP (e.g. Profibus or Ethernet) nor about the type of configured connection (e.g. FDL, ISO, ISO-on_TCP etc.). I must admit though that I am at a loss to explain why the SWR manual (as wellas latest online info) still explicitly refers to the 343-1EX11 and ISO. Perhaps others can shed light on this and either confirm my assertions or prove me wrong (I'd like to know for sure now too). I hope this helps |
