Jean Boulanger Member Joined: 8/17/2009 Last visit: 1/23/2019 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have installed PCS7 engineering toolset V80 upd1. I have configured a project with an ES with WinCC Application. When I try to configure this ES from the Simatic Manager with PLC Configure I get a message that the WinCC Appl. is not installed. What could be the problem? Name, MAC-adress and IP-adress are set correctly, so the Network Interface is not the problem. Attachment F:\Configure.gif (854 Downloads)

Maraitorzzzzz Posts: 140 Rating: (7)	Hi, You can try again by installing, don't uninstall anything before installing. this timeif any of the component is missing only those components will install. Select required ES and OS components. In your case your ES/OS are same. i prefer you to select OS server single station during installtion. I think your problem will be solved........

Could it be the PC-hardware that causes this failure? I am using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, Intel Core i5 2,4 GHz, Memory 8 Gbyte, 64-bit operating system, Solid State Drive.

The hardware you have is more than sufficient so it should no be the problem. If your hardware would not meet the requirements it would affect the performance of the engineering system but not the function of single software components. I heared from problems with the OEM windows wich comes with Dell PCs. But I can't swear it because like I said, it's just from hearing it. I would try to deinstall and reinstall SIMATIC NET in your case.... Regards...

Remeber that if a reinstallation of PCS7 needed, windows should also be reinstalled before. But maybe the customer support can help you. Anyway, if you get it solved would be nice to read the solution here. Regards...
